PAD DRIVE

Menstruation has become stigmatized in a way that it becomes shameful to talk about. In some cultures in Cameroon, many of our young girls have no idea about their menstrual cycles.  In other villages, women are forbidden to be around men or even cleanse themselves properly during these days because it is considered a taboo. The lack of hygiene increases the risks of being infected with life threatening diseases like UTI, BV, and HPV. Menstrual education is vital to the empowerment and well-being of young girls and women worldwide. Caring Sisters Association do quarterly pad drives where we create awareness and teach young girls how to use pads and how to do proper cleaning of the Vagina.
